And not to nitpick but he is no longer the head of the Technical committee.
He is just a member.
The technical committee is now co chaired by Toru Arakawa and Akira Ishizuka.
Arakawa Sensei passed on going and delegated the task to Takagi Sensei.
This will be the first JKF Wadokai Technical Seminar ever held outside of Japan.
The seminar was suppose to take place in Sweden hosted by Ohgami Sensei but apparently he could not find a venue so the seminar was kicked over to Sakagami Sensei who was able to find a venue to host this event.
But outside of Sakagami Sensei hosting it, the seminar is for all intent and purpose the JKF Wadokai Technical seminar.
We will have dan examinations up to 6th dan and will also have kata license exam and instructor exams.
For the kata license you just sit there and watch people do kata then you throw up numbers. If your number consistently falls within a certain 'correct range' then you pass.
For the instructor's exam you have to do all the kihon, 3 kata (Seishan Chinto plus one), 5 kihon kumite (either even or odd - they will announce it on the day of the exam) and jiyu kumite.
