Hi Shep,
I spotted this when you posted it on another board.
I was particularly interested in the magazine launched alongside this. Do you have any other details re. this publication?

Hi Tim

I can only say that it is launched in conjunction with the course, they intend publishing either just one or maybe two a year. Each run will have a very limited number. Its a glossy magazine, I've seen a prototype (if thats the correct term) and its very impressive. The three sensei have archives of thousands of never before seen photo's as well so there is plenty of material to work with in the future. Harry Cook as you probably know is a Goju Ryu man and a well known martial arts historian, he will come at it from an Okinawan perspective no doubt. I believe Sakagami Sensei has also contributed to the first issue.

Some further info regarding the Koshiki No Te magazine. It will feature an in depth report on Sakagami Senseis bio, graphing his early life as a young lad on his family farm up until leaving Aichi University. There is also many new photos of Master Ohtsuka never seen in the west before included in the new magazine, plus loads of other Wado information.

At the Koshiki No Te event there will be very rare Super 8mm Films of Master Ohtsuka in black/white from late 50's and early 60's which will be shown after the Saturdays training at the Koshiki No Te reception.

It looks like Koshiki no te is in full production now, with a few other goods for sale too. I haven't seen any of them yet, but I figured if I beat Shep to the plug, then something may well drop through my letterbox!

Hi Ben

Yes a revamped website for the launch as well. I spent last Sunday at the Aiwakai Nationals promoting it and it has been very well received. I believe the next one will be bigger and thicker as well. With regards the goods for sale, I'm waiting for Sakagami Sensei's new DVD to come out in the next a week or two. Its been filmed and made to very high standards by a professional film maker, apparently its stunning.
