I just admit I had to google Terence Donovan, there is a striking resemblance but I wouldn't like to put money on it

Donovan was a fan of all things Japanese (apparently it happened after he saw Seven Samurai at the cinema). He was a Buddhist and Dan grade in Judo, regular at the Budokwai. Hence http://www.budokwai.net/terence_donovan_judo_trust.htm
To me it's a case of right place right time right interest zone.

For anyone who doesn't know, London fashion in the 60's was defined by the Holy Trinity of photographers David Bailey, Terence Donovan and Brian Duffy.

Great book!
On page 194 there is a picture of several british top fighters together with sensei Tatsuo Suzuki. Everybody is named except one, he is called "unknown". The unknown fighter in the picture is sensei Jon Wicks, Suzuki senseiĀ“s successor and chief instructor of Wado International Karate-Do Federation ( WIKF).
