This is a message from Shiomitsu Sensei's wife Maya.

Dear Wado Academy member

I write to inform you that unfortunately whilst attending the World Karate Championships in Paris on Saturday 24th November, Shiomitsu Sensei suffered a stroke. Since then, he has been receiving treatment in a specialist hospital in Paris. These are early days and we hope that in the fullness of time he can make a full recovery.

I have travelled to be with him and therefore the Wado Academy office is closed for the time being. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Is there any word on Shiomitsu sensei's prognosis? The last I heard, we was back in the UK, but nothing else.

That's all I know for the moment.

Shiomitsu Sensei is making small steps forward.

He was able to look through photos of us all training and no doubt scrutinising us all but also appreciating the fact that we all turned out in support with many traveling far and wide for just a couple of days.
