Could not beleave what I heard coming from a 3rd dans mouth today at work. This guy comes in every 6 months to check our fire equipment after walking him around the site as I did his induction and am one of the supervisors he got talking to some of my boys in the canteen about fighting and martial arts. Now I did not mention that I do karate as its not something I feel I need to shout about but I was so distgiusted with this guys attitude I had to say something he was giving it I'm a 3rd dan at karate any wants some i'll kick their A**e I better than anyone blah blah and so on. After he finished i said he was setting a bad example especialy for a senior grade he basically told ef off as apparently were I'm only a blue belt I know nothing!

Unfortunately it takes all sorts, and theres always bad apples, but I'd wager he's not Wado but possibly into his kickboxing.
If he is Wado he needs to be taken out and given a damn good thrashing!

I either pity him for having his instructor, or I pity his instructor for having such a student.

He said he was wado didnt get where he trained but I've always been told to be respectful to the art and other people to respect senior grades and help grades lower than me, it just annoyed me that someone can be so disrespectful.

There are dan grades and then there are dan grades. not everyone gets the real lessons.

If my sensei heard any of his students say anything like that we'd get a good dressing down, lucky to have a strict instructor i think!
