I met a business client on Friday and we got talking about martial arts and said he was interested in trying Kendo.
Does anyone know of a club that is within half an hours travel from London Bridge please?

Hi Gordon,
The British Kendo Association's web site brings up a dozen or so in London.

I have also asked a friend of mine that runs a Niten Ichi-ryu dojo if he can recommend any from personal experience

Thanks Gary. I will wait to see if there are any particular recommendations first.

The closest I can think of to the London Bridge area would be the Nenriki dojo. However, I am recalling that from a trip down there a couple of years ago when I did Kendo. They do advertise on the web so if you advise your friend to look for Nenriki Kendo club he might find their information.
Edit: Did a quick search on google and they still have a site;

They might be useful to contact even if they are not entirely suitable.

Thank you for that. Sounds like a good starting point as this person has never done it before so it is good that they allow people to come and watch.

No problem at all. Good luck to him in his search, Kendo is one of the more exhilerating of the Gedai Budo and one of the least politicised.
