I am enjoying, and really enjoying, a Pinot Noir within kiai distance of Oneya I believe. A Wado-like little number. Quiet, humble, discrete but does the job with class and finesse.

Stonier Wines, 2009.

Just 15 minutes down the road from me Gordon and surrounded by many other places where it is possible to loiter with intent. Except a tasting at Stonier's usually ends up taking an afternoon with cheese platters and longer parking than usual. The 2009 is just about ready for my delicate Rhone Valley weary palate.

How's the recovery program ?

Shoulder is still odd at times. Not that I have been putting it under strain of late.

Work is getting busier and taking up more energy.

A work related thorn seems to have been overcome by the noble Wado approach.

Aye, wado wine will always moisten the lips and reward the palate while still retaining the desire, which is why I believe we should always strive to be equal to its task.

Fighting a rear guard action with the Rhone La Vieille Ferme at the moment G,, but it's always a pleasurable dalliance.. When you finally get here we can try a Stonier's drop in its natural habitat... A man needs some culture in his dotage.
