Hello,
Following on from wadoka's Hontai Yoshin Ryu thread, I thought you guys would enjoy this also.

Steve Delaney (Kogusoku) sent me this link today, and as you will see there are some striking familiarities.
Apparently it was only posted a couple of weeks ago.

They do head butts in the Yagyu Shingan Ryu footage but to the chest. Now if it was Glasgow...

That was a real surprise, only about 5 or 6 of those techniques/kata had I not seen outside of Wado.

Which tends to plumb the depths and breadth of the wado ryu heritage a little more and demonstrates its historical divide between the koryu and its Okinawan aspects. There used to be a school of thought that the Okinawan 'power' was a missing piece of the tapestry that Ohtsuka meijin visualised for his Wado ryu, hence its inclusion - in order to demonstrate its koryu efficacy .?
