I remember reading that Otsuka Meijin would practice taisabaki through crowds of people in the streets. I'm sure promoting wado became too time consuming at some point.
XD. priceless. It what I show my students in the dojo. People are often amazed how quikcly I can get outside from a crowded pub. I add ten gi, I must admit.
when I walk in the class room I cut the corners sharply. sometimes I just execute gyakuzuki several times, the kids in my classroom are used to it...

I have been working hard to find money for travelling to train. At other times I just work less. Actually I don't train so hard anymore, but working and training is difficult time-management-wise. So I too use the "Kung fu is everywhere"-aproach with all the "wax on..", "paint the fence", "side to side" and "jacket off". :) Luckily I get to train my naihanchidachi a lot driving this machine at work. Also in lifting and moving stuff connecting-disconnecting becomes handy, even though when moving dead objects it's all in my own body. Lots of repetition, but to get some gains from it I have to have training sessions just for Wado. Otherwise I would not get the gains.

Of course I don't have kids. If I had, then I really would have to start planning how I use my time. Then training would be a high priority, because I don't like how the body starts to "collapse" without training. My plan is to not get lost in the working-stuff and build a whole life around it. Working is just not that important. It's just something you have to do and hope for the best that you even like it a bit in some way.

Ha ha you guys crack me up!! :-D

I thought it was just me that did this sort of thing?! My neighbours think I’m mad when they see me fighting the washing line & clothes prop out in the garden! Also, Mrs Craven has two cats which move like true Zen Masters, they are a joy to watch, if only I could do Wado like them...?
