I graded yesterday for my Orange-Black belt (our school has intermediate ranks as opposed to going up a whole belt color). Went very well and I just wanted to thank those of you who have helped me out on my questions I have posed to you over the past few months.
We also started learning Pinan Shodan last night. Wow! That takes a lot of coordination, especially with the shutos. I love it! I went on YouTube and watched Suzuki sensei perform it and it's bloody impressive. Something to aspire to.

congrats mate on the same note my wife started training with me at the end of September and just passed her first grading! I'm hoping to grade next year at the first course we have.
