It is simply following the Greek artistic tradition within the area of sculpture to incorporate such features. Also note I am not trying to draw a direct comparison as that would be lateral thinking of the worst sort; rather I am making an observation on the potential over lapping principles presented in said statue. Now I concur with Wadoka that the movement is not in line with proper Japanese methods of Kuzushi but that is not what I am getting at. What I am pointing out is the historical comparison to be made, and how this begs the question of why do we not see Me-oto-de or similar practices in a number of modern systems.

I don’t know,maybe because Pancration doesn’t exist anymore??You know Acer; I have a suggestion, why not take up Pankration?
