Came across this website's attempt at outlining Otsuka Hironori's lineage.

Sad not to see any jujutsu lineage there.
Lineage
Re: Lineage
Interesting site. I like the idea of charting lineages.
It is an open project where everyone can contribute, wikipedia-like. Wikipedia also started with an awful wadoryu page, but it is pretty decent by now (Though it needs some weeding when I checked just now...)
I signed up for the site and am waiting for permission to add some info.

Re: Lineage
I just gave up. I tried to modify the info, but the site wouldn't let me.
Too bad. Great idea, poor execution.

I think the weeds on the wikipedia wado page are way over head high when I read statements like this:
oneyaFrom one point of view, Wadō-ryū might be considered a style of jūjutsu rather than karate. It should be noted that Hironori Ōtsuka embraced Shotokan and was its chief instructor for a time.

Re: Lineage
I see what you mean. But 'open' projects do need regular maintenance. Which is our very own responsability. When I have some time I'll see if I can do a bit of work on it...oneya wrote: I think the weeds on the wikipedia wado page are way over head high when I read statements like this:oneyaFrom one point of view, Wadō-ryū might be considered a style of jūjutsu rather than karate. Meanwhile perhaps others can chime in?
