Thanks for your replies.
I like the scientific (Physics) approach as it makes sense to me (ie: Newtons Laws).. Sorry Oneya ‘ki ken tai no ichi' or perhaps ' ichi go ichi e' are a bit too advanced for me at this stage of my Wado journey.

Help understanding Kime
I trying to figure out “Kime” can you help ?? As I understand it (with my limited Wado knowledge) Kime is focus. So taking Junzuki as an example... So at the end of the slide forward to the opposite stance and then punch/thrust trying to get all your body weight into the impact... Is Kime sort of wh...

Re: New WadoPedia section
Hi, I must have read DKC's comments wrongly. I thought he was talking about posting on this forum, not open courses or what courses were available in his area. I thought the point he was making was that sometimes when a more junior grade asks a question that is seen as obvious by some of the more s...

Re: This makes me angry
There is no such entity. What is interesting is that in the past 6 months or so we have been discussing the idea of creating a Pan American Wadokai and I suggested that Norma be the chairman. But this is still just a concept and we have been talking to several countries in the Pan American who is s...

Re: Pinan katas
Jacob, I think You might be over thinking this and misunderstanding Oneya. He was trying to teach you a different part of junzuki. Consider his instruction as advanced education and unfortunately in my experience the only ones who understand are the people who already know....so in the end we just ...

Re: Pinan katas
I'm in no position to judge, just my personal observations, looking at Pinan Nidan for example. The fist/wrist in Junzuki.. (...) or am I missing something or not understading correctly ? Perhaps the performer would not advice on having the fist that way. In almost any performance picking some deta...

Re: Another demo
The UKKF/W hosted a couple of matches against Japanese teams in the 1970's - I think it was 1973 Birmingham (Oneya was officiating according to the programme) and again in London in 1976. The 73 team for Britain looks like it was all UKKW members but the 76 one may have been a mixed team with KGB. ...
