Re: Internal Power

I'd highly recommend kettlebells. The TRX is great but requires a bit more space. I've been working with them for about 8 months and the difference has been noticeable in my balance and power.

Re: Killing me softly

Acer, you need to ask yourself how come these practices are still around if no one teaches them.. Reading this : He used Ju Jitsu techniques, Judo techniques, and Aikido techniques. Where's the WA?

I am sure many of you have seen this but for those that haven't it's a candid, well documented presentation of a complex story of the financial meltdown. Inside Job by Charles Ferguson. Too bad we couldn't line up many of the culprits for a good round of jiyu....

Re: Renzoku waza

Re: Karate Gi suggestions

Try this list of suppliers: Tokyo shureido has changed its name to Toyodo now, but I think that is one of the shops which caters to foreign visitors more frequently as its easy to find. I would agree with the suggestion to stick to medium or light weight and steer clear of the heavy weight gi, but ...

Re: Youtube stuff

I was watching a TV programme the other day and it discussed language. One point it picked up one was the more directness that north Americans use and expect whilst say the Brits might hint at some initially and work towards the actual point in a negotiated way. Yanks need it spelling out. Indeed, ...
