Thank you for your answers. I think the first nine are enough but more is not too much. I think the kata teaches motor skills, structure, power-generation of different kinds. Do the other kata matter?

The founder mostly taught the pinan kata, kushanku, naihanchi, seishan and chinto. Do you think the other kata make a significant contribution to the curriculum?

Kear sensei's words provided added quality to my wado-journey. His articles and posts are places to come back to when practice has given a new perspective. I am sure I will keep returning to what he wrote. Thank you.
